Welcome to the Shire of Hartshorn Dale

I would like to welcome all of you to the Shire of Hartshorn-dale.

If you are here, most likely you have been directed here by a member of the shire, or someone involved in the SCA to learn a bit more about what the SCA is about and more so, what to expect from joining us here in the Shire of Hartshorn-dale.

I was asked, some time ago, why I would want to do another newcomers site, when there was so much information already out there. The answer I gave was that, while there was lots of information out there, alot of it was very specific to an individual kingdom or area, as it should be, but that we really didn't have anything for people just joining Hartshorn-dale itself.

So being a relative newbie myself, I set out to gather together resources from within the Shire, drawing on the years and years of experience from people that live within its borders. So what I present to you is a gathering of information for people new to the SCA and to the Shire of Hartshorn-dale.

The sca is a huge world out there, with more information than you could hope to read in a year. It is overwhelming at the best and intimidating at the least and what we hope to do is take all the fears away and leave you with the best part : the people and the fun. So sit back and enjoy as you begin your journey into the past and become part of what is called the Current Middle Ages

Yours in Service Lady Rainillt Leia De Bello Marisco
